                    Blast Kills 6 on Bus in Southern Russia

   An explosion on a passenger bus in the southern Russian city of
   Volgograd has killed six people and injured at least 20 others.

   Russia's National Anti-Terrorism Committee said in a statement Monday
   that the blast was caused by a bomb.

   Russian news agencies had initially quoted local officials as saying
   the explosion was likely caused by faulty gas equipment on board the
   bus.
