                         Vietnam Mourns Beloved General

   Vietnam is holding two days of official mourning for wartime General Vo
   Nguyen Giap, who died last week at the age of 102.
   Thousands of people, including family, high-ranking officials and
   foreign military delegations, viewed Giap`s body as it lay in state
   Saturday in the capital of Hanoi.
   Giap was lauded as a military genius for his guerrilla tactics, which
   defeated both French and American forces and ended the government of
   South Vietnam. Giap was revered second only to late revolutionary
   leader Ho Chi Minh.
   After the state funeral Giap`s body will be transported Sunday to his
   native Quang Binh province for burial.
