South Africa Mall Collapse Kills One, Injures Dozens South African police say at least one person is dead and dozens are injured after the roof collapsed at a shopping mall under construction. The accident occurred Tuesday in the town of Tongaat, some 40 kilometers north of Durban. A police spokesman says 26 people were injured and 50 others are feared trapped under the rubble. Emergency personnel are combing the area with sniffer dogs and rescue equipment in the hopes of finding survivors buried under mounds of concrete. Officials say most of the injured were construction workers pulled from the debris. Medics say most had non-life threatening injuries such as broken bones, but some are in serious condition. The cause of the building collapse is not yet known. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/south-africa-mall-collapse-kills-one- injures-dozens/1793404.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/south-africa-mall-collapse-kills-one-injures-dozens/1793404.html
