                 Chinese Leaders Launch Economic Reform Meeting

   Chinese leaders have begun a key economic policy meeting focused on
   economic reforms.
   The Communist Party has yet to give details of the meeting`s agenda.
   But the official Xinhua news agency said in a short report Saturday
   that the gathering had begun and would discuss a draft decision by the
   party Central Committee on "major issues concerning comprehensively
   deepening reforms."
   The four-day closed-door session of the full 376-member committee is
   believed to be taking place at a heavily guarded private hotel in
   Beijing and will conclude Tuesday.
