                 Kenya Charges 4 In Connection with Mall Attack

   Authorities in Kenya have charged four men in connection with the
   attack on a Nairobi shopping mall that killed at least 67 people.
   The suspects -- Mohammed Ahmed Abdi, Liban Abdullah, Adan Ibrahim and
   Hussein Hassan -- all pleaded not guilty in a Nairobi courtroom Monday.
   None of the four being held is accused of being the gunmen who attacked
   shoppers at the Westgate mall in September. However, they are charged
   with committing a terrorist act by providing shelter to the alleged
   gunmen.
   Other charges include obtaining false identification documents and
   being in Kenya illegally.
   Somali militant group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the Westgate
   attack, which left 61 civilians and six Kenyan soldiers dead, along
   with at least five gunmen.
   Kenyan officials are still investigating the attack. Officials have
   suggested the gunmen had accomplices inside the mall who helped them
   hide weapons in advance of the assault.
