Landslide Buries 83 Workers in Tibet China`s state-run media say no survivors or bodies have been found a day after a massive landslide buried 83 workers at a gold mine in a mountainous area of Tibet. The official Xinhua news agency said the landslide covered a three square kilometer area early Friday morning, burying a workers` camp at the mining site about 70 kilometers east of the Tibetan capital, Lhasa. Search efforts are being hampered by continuing smaller landslides, the 4,600-meter altitude and temperatures below freezing. The severe cold is affecting the noses of search dogs. More than a thousand rescuers have been dispatched to the area. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/landslide-buries-83-workers-in-tibet/ 1631565.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/landslide-buries-83-workers-in-tibet/1631565.html
