                           3 Killed in Pakistan Blast

   Pakistan officials say say a bomb blast in the country`s largest city
   has killed three people and wounded five others.
   Authorities said Friday the explosion in took place near a cable
   television office in Karachi.
   The blast was the latest in a recent string of violent incidents in the
   city.
   On Wednesday, gunmen shot dead Perween Rahman, a pioneering female
   activist, who helped bring sewers and water to Karachi`s poorest
   neighborhoods.
   Karachi is a sprawling metropolis of 18 million people and has a long
   history of political, sectarian and ethnic violence.
