                       At Least 9 Killed in Iraq Attacks

   Attacks in northern Iraq killed nine people Saturday.
   Officials say the deadliest attack was near the northern city of Mosul,
   where a suicide car bomber targeted a police patrol, killing four
   people including a policeman.
   In Tuz Khormato, some 200 kilometers north of Baghdad, gunmen killed
   three policemen and wounded one other.
   Violence was also reported in Tikrit and Samarra.
   No group has claimed responsibility for the latest attacks.
   Violence in Iraq has escalated in recent weeks, raising concern of a
   return to widespread sectarian attacks.
