Hong Kong Protesters Rally for Snowden Hundreds of demonstrators staged a rally at the U.S. consulate in Hong Kong Saturday to urge the city`s government not to extradite Edward Snowden, the American who leaked top-secret information about U.S. surveillance programs. The protesters gathered in a heavy rain to also speak out against the U.S. National Security Agency`s monitoring of communications traffic in other countries and cities, including Hong Kong. The U.S. launched a criminal investigation after Snowden, leaked details of Washington`s secret Internet and telephone surveillance programs. Snowden has gone underground in Hong Kong after traveling from his home in the U.S. state of Hawaii. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/hong-kong-protesters-rally-for-snowde n/1682371.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/hong-kong-protesters-rally-for-snowden/1682371.html
