Russian Rocket Crashes After Launch by VOA News A Russia rocket carrying three navigation satellites has crashed. Russian media say the Proton-M rocket fell to the ground shortly after take off Tuesday from the Russian-leased Baikonur launch facility in Kazakhstan. Footage broadcast on state-run Rossiya-24 showed the rocket swerving off course and falling apart in the air. There were no reports of injuries.
