                       9 Dead in Russian Coal Mine Blast

   Russian officials say an explosion at a coal mine in the country`s
   north has killed at least nine miners.
   The Emergencies Ministry says eight other more miners are missing and
   believed to be trapped in the rubble from the explosion.
   The deadly accident took place Monday in Russia`s Komi region.
   It is not immediately clear what caused the explosion.
