Afghan President Meets Iranian Counterpart in Tehran Afghanistan`s President Hamid Karzai Sunday met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran Sunday, as his disagreement continued with the United States over a security agreement that would determine the future of US troops in Afghanistan beyond 2014. The meeting between the two presidents came shortly after US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel arrvied in Kabul. Hagel said he was told by the Afghan Defense Minister that a security pact would be signed in a "timely manner" despite Mr. Karzai`s reluctance.
