Coalition Forces Targeted in Aghan Attacks Insurgents in Afghanistan launched separate attacks Wednesday targeting U.S.-led coalition forces. In eastern Ghazni province, a suicide car bomb was detonated outside a base in eastern Ghazni province that hosts U.S. and Polish troops. The blast was followed by a gun battle in which several Polish soldiers were reportedly wounded. The exact number of causalities from the fighting, including combatants and civilians, was not immediately clear. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Earlier Wednesday, a suicide car bomber attacked a coalition convoy in Lashkar Gah, the capital of southern Helmand province. The blast killed four civilians and wounded 15. There has been no claim of responsibility for that attack. Separately, a rocket was fired at a parking lot in Afghanistan`s western Farah province used by trucks carrying fuel for the coalition. The rocket hit a vehicle, which ignited. The ensuing fire killed six Afghan drivers, injured 10 others and destroyed 40 trucks. The Taliban also claimed responsibility for that attack. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/coalition-forces-targeted-in-aghan-at tacks/1738836.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/coalition-forces-targeted-in-aghan-attacks/1738836.html
