Twin Suicide Attacks Kill 12 in Afghanistan Officials in central Afghanistan say two suicide bombers have killed 12 people and wounded more than 50 near a NATO base. A spokesman for the Wardak provincial governor say the attacks took place Saturday morning in the province's Sayed Abad district. Authorities say the first bombing was carried out by a militant on foot, followed by a blast from a bomber in a truck. Officials say the dead include civilians and Afghan police. They say no international coalition service members were killed in the attacks. But NATO says two American service members died Saturday in an insurgent attack in Ghazni province.
