Authorities say a second student has died following Monday's shooting at a school in the central U.S. state of Ohio. The police chief of the city of Chardon says 17-year-old Russell King was pronounced dead early Tuesday. A student had opened fire on other students inside the Chardon High School cafeteria Monday . A 16-year-old boy had died Monday hours after the shooting. Three other injured students remain hospitalized. Authorities say they apprehended a young suspect Monday afternoon. Witnesses and local news reports say he is T.J. Lane, a student at a nearby school for at-risk youth. The suspect will make an initial court appearance later Tuesday. Authorities say a motive for the attack remains unclear. A lawyer for Lane told local media late Monday that his family is "devastated" and wants to express condolences to the victims' families. The lawyer described the suspect as a "fairly quiet" and "good kid" who, to his knowledge, has never been any trouble. Schools are closed Tuesday in the town of about 5,000 people as authorities continue to investigate the shooting. .
