One student has been shot and killed and four others wounded by a gunman, also a student, at a high school in the U.S. state of Ohio. The Geauga County Sheriff says the shooting occurred in the cafeteria before classes opened at Chardon High School, about 50 kilometers east of Cleveland. Deputies say the suspect is in custody. The injured students were taken to two area hospitals, where one later died. There is no word about the medical condition of the other four students. Chardon Schools Superintendent Joseph Bergant said the rest of the 1,100 students are safe. .
