Haitian Prime Minister Resigns

   VOA News

   A Haitian government official says Prime Minister Garry Conille has
   resigned, just months after taking office.
   President Michel Martelly has received the resignation letter,
   spokesman Lucien Jurat said in an interview with VOA's Creole service.
   Mr. Conille, who was President Martelly's third nominee for the
   position, was in Washington earlier this month meeting with partners
   and discussing the massive task of reconstruction after the deadly
   January 2010 earthquake that left parts of the Haitian capital,
   Port-au-Prince, in ruins.
   He was sworn into office in October.
