Congo Plane Crash Kills 30 Near Brazzaville by VOA News Emergency workers in the Republic of Congo say at least 30 people were killed when a cargo plane slammed into homes near Brazzaville's airport on Friday. Rescuers said Saturday that the victims included all six crew members of the Soviet-era plane, a four-engine Ilyushin 76 jet freighter. It went down while trying to land at the Brazzaville Maya-Maya airport. There was no immediate word on what caused the crash. Witnesses say the aircraft was trying to land during a violent storm. Officials say the plane was carrying cargo from the port city of Pointe-Noire. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/congo-plane-crash/1556685.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/congo-plane-crash/1556685.html
