Cuba has posted new photographs of former President Fidel Castro on a government website following rumors of his failing health or death. The photos show a relaxed Castro sitting in a chair during an interview with Venezuelan state television on Tuesday. The interviewer addressed the rumors of Castro's demise during the talk, describing the former president as "alive and kicking." On Thursday, Cuban Parliament Chief Ricardo Alarcon also said Castro is in good health. Castro turned over the presidency to his brother Raul in 2008. He led the Communist island nation for nearly 50 years. .
