Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez says he will continue his cancer treatments through at least November. The Socialist leader said Wednesday he will be fit and ready to run for reelection next year. Chavez has undergone three rounds of chemotherapy treatments since doctors in Cuba removed a cancerous tumor from his pelvic area in June. The Venezuelan leader has made few campaign style appearances as he dealt with his health issues. The public's perception of the president and his government has not changed much since Chavez announced his cancer diagnosis. The most recent public opinion survey gives president Chavez a 49 percent approval rating. The Datanalysis poll showed almost identical results in July.
