17 Dead After Bombs Explode in Iraq

   VOA News  May 19, 2011

   Iraqi officials say two bombs have killed at least 17 people near
   police headquarters in the northern city Kirkuk.
   They say at least 40 people were wounded in the blasts on Thursday.
   The Associated Press quotes police official Sherzad Mofari as saying
   the first blast took place in the building's parking lot and then a
   nearby car exploded a few minutes later as police officers were rushing
   to the scene.
   Kirkuk is located about 250 kilometers north of Baghdad.
