(File Photo) Russia's Investigative Committee has announced it will prosecute at least two suspected terrorists for the bombing of the Domodedovo airport in January, killing 37 people. Spokesman Vladimir Markin told reporters Tuesday that investigators have decided to bring charges against Chechen militant leaders Doku Umarov and Aslan Byutukayev. Umarov has previously claimed responsibility for the bombing in a video posted online. He has also claimed to be behind the bombing of a Moscow subway train a year ago. Monday, Russian authorities said at least 17 rebels were killed in air and ground attacks in the country's volatile North Caucasus region.  Monday's clashes occurred in the province of Ingushetia near the border with Chechnya. Russian reports say militants linked to the two suspects were targeted for the attack. Some unconfirmed reports Tuesday say Umarov may have been among those killed. Russia's national anti-terror committee says the operation involved both air and ground forces. Russian media said the operation destroyed a rebel base used to train suicide bombers.  Russia's Caucasus republics are plagued by violence mostly linked to an Islamic insurgency that has spread across the region after two separatist wars in Chechnya. .
