British Royal Couple to Begin First Overseas Tour

   Britain's Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge pose for

   Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine are traveling Thursday
   to Canada to begin their first overseas tour as a married couple.
   The 10-day trip begins in the capital, Ottawa, where the couple is
   scheduled to take part in a wreath laying ceremony at a war memorial,
   then attend a welcome ceremony and a barbecue reception.
   The tour includes planned stops in eight Canadian cities, as well as a
   two-day visit to the United States.
   The couple's itinerary includes a range of events: a cooking workshop,
   a search & rescue demonstration and a parade.
   Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has called the tour a testament
   to the close ties between Canada and the royal family. Canada is part
   of the Commonwealth with Britain's Queen Elizabeth as its sovereign.
   The couple were married in April.
