Officials say one person was wounded in the blast Saturday in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province. Meanwhile, officials in the eastern Afghan province of Laghman say police investigating an explosion in MehterLam were hit by a second bomb Saturday, killing two police officers and wounding nine people. Elsewhere in eastern Afghanistan, police say a suicide bomber has killed at least three people, including two police officers in Khost province. Officials say at least 12 people were wounded in the attack Saturday outside the police headquarters. Authorities say the chief of an Afghan commando unit was one of the police officers killed. .
