At least four of the deaths came when gunmen opened fire at a soccer field in Ciudad Juarez. The attacks were the latest in a wave of suspected drug cartel violence. Four years ago President Felipe Calderon deployed tens of thousands of troops to take on the powerful drug traffickers. The escalating drug war has caused nearly 40,000 deaths. .
