Colin Firth won the Golden Globe for best actor in a movie drama for his performance as the stammering British monarch George the Sixth in The King's Speech. Natalie Portman won the award for best actress in a movie drama for her portrayal of a ballerina in Black Swan. The U.S. television series about a high school glee club, Glee, won the Golden Globe for best comedy or musical series. The Golden Globe Awards were held in Los Angeles Sunday evening, hosted by British writer-director-actor Ricky Gervais. The awards are given out annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. David Fincher won the award for best director for The Social Network. Robert De Niro received the Cecil B.
