   President Obama record his weekly address for February 5, 2011

   President  Barack  Obama says the prosperity of the United States will
   depend   on   both   the   government  and  businesses  meeting  their
   responsibilities.
   In  his  weekly  address,  Mr.  Obama  said  in  the  short  term, the
   bi-partisan tax cuts approved in December will generate jobs and boost
   the economy.
   But  the  president  says creating well-paying jobs with good benefits
   will be the true measure of the country's economic stability. Â
   Mr.   Obama   says  getting  there  involves  the  government  backing
   innovation and infrastructure improvement that promote business.
   The  president  also says businesses have an obligation to create jobs
   in the United States that pay decent wages.
   The  Republicans  weekly  message  also  centered  on the economy with
   Representative  Jeb  Hensarling criticizing President Obama's proposed
   job  creation  initiatives  as a spending spree at a time of a growing
   deficit.
