This view was expressed by Tarek Hefny who along with thousands of other Egyptians stood today in Cairoās Tahrir Square. He says the demands are for President Hosni MubarakĀ and parliament to resign, and for a new Constitution be drafted. VOAās Mohamed Elshinnawi spoke to him by phone. The conversation took place before Mubarakās televised speech this evening in which he announced that he would not run for president again, but made no mention of plans to resign in the immediate future.
