Tropical Storm Hermine Approaches Texas, Mexico VOA News 06 September 2010 Projected path of Tropical Storm Hermine Photo: NOAA Projected path of Tropical Storm Hermine Parts of northeastern Mexico and southern Texas are under tropical storm warnings as the eighth named storm of the season approaches their coastlines. Tropical Storm Hermine is expected to make landfall early Tuesday, dropping 10 to 20 centimeters of rain that could trigger flash floods and mudslides. Storm warnings are in effect from Tampico, Mexico, to Baffin Bay on the south Texas coast. Forecasters say the storm is currently several hundred kilometers off the coast in the Gulf of Mexico. The forecast track indicates it could enter central Texas by Wednesday or Thursday.
