AP Liu Xiaobo Mo Shaoping says he and another prominent Chinese lawyer were detained at Beijing's international airport on Tuesday as they prepared to board a flight to London. Mo, who had been invited to attend a seminar in Britain, said he was told his trip posed a threat to China's national interests. China was outraged by the awarding to the prestigious prize to Liu, who is serving an 11-year prison sentence for co-authoring a tract in support of democratic rights. It has been trying to discourage prominent figures from attending the award ceremony in Oslo on December 10. A British newspaper, the Telegraph, linked the lawyers' detention to a visit to China by British Prime Minister David Cameron, who arrived at the Beijing airport with a large business delegation shortly before Mo was detained.
