Suicide Blast Kills 50 at Pakistani Mosque VOA News 05 November 2010 Pakistani officials say a suicide blast has torn through a mosque in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least 50 people. Authorities say more than 80 others were wounded in the attack during Friday prayers in Darra Adam Khel, a town in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Witnesses say the mosque's roof collapsed, trapping people under the debris. Officials say children are among the dead. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Local officials blamed the Taliban who they say may have been targeting tribal elders who spoke out against the militant group. A number of mosques and Sufi shrines have recently been attacked in Pakistan, but Friday's suicide blast was the deadliest in two months. Some information for this report was provided by AP and AFP. .
