Palestinians say a car exploded near Hamas police headquarters in Gaza City on Wednesday killing one person and wounding another. Hamas authorities say an Israeli air strike caused the blast. However, there has been no comment from the Israeli military. Israeli media said the blast could have been a car bomb which detonated prematurely The explosion comes during a period of relative calm between the Palestinian-ruled territory and Israel -- and between the rival Hamas and Fatah factions.
