Israeli Hecklers Arrested for Taunting US Official

   Israeli  police have arrested two protesters for shouting insults at a
   top aide to U.S. President Barack Obama.
   White  House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is in Israel to celebrate his
   son's  Bar  Mitzvah,  a  Jewish coming of age ceremony for 13-year-old
   boys.   Police  say he was touring Jerusalem's Old City Thursday when
   the men began shouting.
   One of the men called Emanuel an anti-Semite.
   Emanuel's  father  is  from  Israel,  but many Israelis blame the U.S.
   official  for  what they see as the Obama administration's anti-Israel
   policies.
   Emanuel's  trip  to  Israel  is  considered  a  private  visit, but on
   Wednesday  the top aide took time to speak with Israeli Prime Minister
   Benjamin  Netanyahu  and  invite him for talks at the White House next
   week.
   The  Obama  administration has been pressuring Israel to freeze Jewish
   construction in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, saying that
   the settlements are an obstacle to peace with the Palestinians.
