Iran's state-run Press TV showed Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd, and Josh Fattal hugging their mothers. The mothers of the three hikers arrived in Tehran Wednesday after being granted visas by Iran as a "humanitarian measure." Fattal, Bauer and Shourd were arrested in July for illegally entering the country from Iraq. Iranian authorities accuse them of spying. Family members say the hikers accidentally strayed into Iran from northern Iraq's Kurdish region. The fate of the Americans has been another source of tension between the United States and Iran as they wage a diplomatic battle over the Iranian nuclear program. Washington accuses Tehran of secretly trying to build atomic weapons. Iran says its nuclear work is peaceful. Some information for this report was provided by AFP and AP. .
