   Afghan  President  Hamid  Karzai  met  with new British Prime Minister
   David  Cameron  on  Saturday after wrapping up a high-profile visit to
   the United States.
   The  two leaders met at Chequers, the country residence of the British
   prime minister.
   Afghanistan   has  been  high  on  the  agenda  for  the  new  British
   government,  as  British troops make up one of the largest deployments
   in Afghanistan behind the United States.
   Mr.  Karzai  went  to  Britain after finishing a four-day visit in the
   United   States,  where  he  held  talks  with  high-level  officials,
   including  U.S.  President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary
   Clinton.
   The  Afghan  president  and  top U.S. officials insisted the talks had
   improved bilateral ties that had become strained in recent months.
