Serbia Uncovers Mass Grave of Kosovo Albanians

   A Serbian war crimes prosecutor says a mass grave with bodies of about
   250 ethnic Kosovo Albanians has been discovered in the country.
   The prosecutor says the grave was found, with the help of the European
   Union-led  rule-of-law mission EULEX, in the southwestern Serbian town
   of Raska, near the Kosovo border.
   The  victims  are  believed  to  have been killed during the 1998-1999
   conflict  in  Kosovo,  when  Serbian  forces  fought  ethnic  Albanian
   separatists.   Ethnic  Albanians make up about 90 percent of Kosovo's
   population.
   Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, but ethnic Serbs who
   constitute  a  majority  in  northern  Kosovo  refuse to recognize the
   ethnic Albanian government in Pristina.
   Russia  and Serbia are among countries that do not recognize Kosovo as
   an  independent  country, while the United States is among at least 60
   who do.
