They say the truck burst into flames after hitting a bus traveling on the narrow Salang Pass. Victims included children burned to death. The number of injuries was not immediately clear. The Reuters news agency says the explosion burned several cars that were also on the road. The Salang Pass is located 3,400 meters high in the Hindu Kush mountains, and connects Kabul with northern Afghanistan.
