Lee Chung-yong made South Korea the first team at this World Cup to score against Uruguay when he headed in an equalizing goal in the 68th minute. The South Koreans dominated the pitch in the second half, playing with more energy and finesse than Uruguay, which will have to serve as consolation as the Asian team flies home. Uruguay next plays the winner of Saturday's second round of 16 match between Ghana and the United States in Rustenburg. Former U.S. president Bill Clinton will be among the dignitaries attending the game. Ghana eliminated the Americans four years ago in the final group match of the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In addition to avenging that loss, the United States will be trying to win consecutive World Cup matches for the first time. The United States narrowly advanced with a stoppage time goal against Algeria to win Group-C. Ghana was runner-up in Group-D behind Germany. The 2010 FIFA World Cup ends July 11 where it began, in South Africa's iconic Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg. Some information for this report was provided by Reuters. .
