The Netherlands solidified its position atop the Group-E standings with six points after claiming its second victory of the month-long tournament. Japan is second in Group-E with three points, while Cameroon and Denmark do not have any points following opening match losses.  Wesley Sneijder scored the Netherlands' goal in the 53rd minute. Apart from that lapse, Japan's tough defense stifled the Dutch, whose overall performance was rated lackluster and less than inspired. In other action, Ghana's Black Stars take on Australia in a Group-D match in Rustenburg. Group-E action continues with Cameroon and Denmark clashing in Pretoria.
