Officials say at least 30 passengers were also injured when the bus fell into the 30 meter ravine on the central island of Cebu. They say it appears the bus suffered from brake failure. Police say most of the dead are Iranian medical students and doctors who were on their way to a beach resort when the accident took place. Rescue workers are continuing to search the wreckage for victims. Poorly maintained vehicles and roads are blamed for many deadly accidents in the Philippines.
