Three NATO Troops Killed in Afghanistan VOA News 30 July 2010 Three foreign soldiers have died in two separate attacks in Afghanistan. A NATO statement released Friday says all three soldiers died Thursday, as a result of improvised explosive device attacks in the southern part of the country. The statement did not give the nationalities of the soldiers.  However, the Associated Press says all three victims were Americans, raising the death toll for U.S. forces to 63 for July, the deadliest month yet in Afghanistan. On Thursday, U.S. and Afghan officials announced the body of a second U.S. Navy sailor who disappeared in eastern Afghanistan had been recovered. The two sailors were reported missing July 23, after they entered an area of Logar province known to be an insurgent stronghold. The body of the other sailor was recovered Sunday. Some information for this report was provided by AFP and AP. .
