The speeding bus flipped over Monday in southern Afghanistan, killing over two dozens of people who were on board, Afghan police said, 26 Jul 2010. Afghan officials say a crowded bus has struck a roadside bomb in southwestern Afghanistan, leaving at least 25 civilians dead and another 20 wounded. The bomb exploded Wednesday on a stretch of highway in Delaram in Nimroz province as the bus was traveling toward Kabul. Provincial governor Ghulam Dastgir Azad told reporters he believes insurgent forces were behind the blast. A NATO official also blamed insurgents for the bus bombing and for a separate deadly attack in southern Afghanistan. NATO says two civilians were killed in that incident, when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. Colonel Rafael Torres of the ISAF Joint Command denounced what he called the "cowardly, murderous attacks" and said insurgents will not prevent the coalition from securing Afghanistan. .
