Prosecutors announced the charges Monday in California against Dr. Conrad Murray, a cardiologist who was with Jackson when he died suddenly last year at the age of 50. The coroner's office earlier ruled Jackson's death a homicide. Murray is expected to appear at a Los Angeles courthouse Monday afternoon. Jackson hired Murray to be his personal physician as he prepared for a series of comeback performances in London. Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion on June 25 from a lethal combination of drugs that included the powerful anesthetic propofol. The doctor has admitted giving Jackson the drug to help him sleep, but says nothing he gave Jackson should have killed him. [ ] [Some informaiton for this report provided by AP.] .
