Speaking Friday in Bahrain, where she is attending a security conference, Clinton expressed hope that Iran will be ready to "pursue a different path" when it resumes talks. Iran is to return to negotiations with the United States, China, Russia, Britain, France and Germany Monday in Geneva. Clinton told reporters Iran's nuclear ambitions are a concern shared by all nations, especially those in the Middle East region. Tehran denies charges it is using the program to build nuclear weapons. Her visit to Bahrain follows the release of U.S. diplomatic cables by WikiLeaks. One of the disclosed messages quotes Bahrain's King Hamad telling U.S. officials that Iran must be stopped from developing nuclear weapons. Appearing alongside Clinton, Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Khalifa reaffirmed the king's stance on the issue. Both Clinton and the Bahraini foreign minister said the WikiLeaks affair has not upset the long-standing partnership between their two nations. Clinton also said that her current job as secretary of state will likely be her last public position. She added that she has no intentions of running for the U.S. presidency.
