Airports in Britain, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy and other countries reported cancellations or delays in hundreds of flights. Runways at both of Britain's busiest airports, Heathrow and Gatwick in London, were closed to allow snow to be cleared. Frankfurt airport in Germany canceled around 500 flights Sunday.
