Four Israelis Dead in West Bank Shooting VOA News 31 August 2010 Israeli officials say four Israelis have been killed after gunmen fired on a car in the West Bank. The attack took place in the early evening Tuesday near the entrance to the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba, not far from the flashpoint city of Hebron. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Israel's national rescue service said the victims were two men and two women and that one of the women was pregnant. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has called the incident an attempt to sabotage upcoming peace talks later this week in Washington. He said Tuesday that Israeli security forces will do everything they can to "exact a price" from those responsible for the attack. The Palestinian militant faction Hamas, which controls Gaza, praised the attack, calling it a natural response to occupation. Some information for this report was provided by Reuters. .
