Friday's attack was the second missile strike in South Waziristan in as many days. Officials say the strike destroyed an abandoned school in the village of Medan. South Waziristan is believed to be home to many al-Qaida and Taliban leaders. Suspected U.S. drones (or unmanned aircraft) are reported to have launched about 30 missile attacks in Pakistan since the middle of last year, despite public objections by the Pakistani government.
