Car Bombs Hit Iraqi Forces in Baghdad

One person killed, 11 wounded in series of car bombs in Taji, north of
Baghdad 
A series of car bombs in and around Baghdad has targeted mainly Iraqi
security forces, killing one person and wounding at least 11 others.
Police said a roadside bomb in Taji, north of the city, killed a
civilian and wounded five other people. In Baghdad's Adhamiya
neighborhood, at least two bombs strapped to parked cars wounded six
people. The attacks come as troops tightened security around Shi'ite
mosques, shrines and political party offices ahead of a massive funeral
procession for prominent Shi'ite leader Abdul Aziz al-Hakim. Thousands
of people are expected to mourn the leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic
Council later this week before he is buried in the holy city Najaf.
Hakim died Wednesday in Tehran following a two-year battle with lung
cancer.
