The deadliest attack occurred in the capital's Sadr City neighborhood where officials say an explosion killed at least 10 people and wounded 28 others. Another car bomb exploded near a group of day laborers in central Baghdad, killing six people and wounding 16 others. A bomb targeting the convoy of an Interior Ministry official killed two people and wounded several others in eastern Baghdad. A fourth bombing in the capital killed at least two people. Hours after the fourth explosion, two blasts shook Baghdad's Um al-Maalif area, killing 12 people and wounding more than 25 others.
