Officials say they believe a rival crime family targeted Ya'akov Alperon Monday, in the attack. The blast also slightly wounded two bystanders, including a 13-year-old boy. Media reports say Alperon was returning from a court hearing for his son, Dror, who is facing extortion charges. Witnesses say they heard a huge explosion, and some thought it was a terrorist attack. In June, another car bomb in Tel Aviv killed one of Israel's top criminal lawyers, in what police said was a criminal, not a terrorist, act. The lawyer, Yoram Haham, had represented several notorious mobsters during his career as a criminal lawyer. Some information for this report was provided by AFP, AP and Reuters. .
